Event description

Description

Filmmakers have greater access to affordable equipment now than ever before, and many have had long time dreams of making films. This program will tap into that energy and give the 40 and up generation an opportunity to learn what is available to them in film, and how it really is possible to start filming at any age. This could become a hobby or a second career for someone. The program will give adults the opportunity to see what it takes to make a short film, which will be completed over a period of 3 Sundays. Adults can join at any time during the process, depending on what they are interested in. The first Sunday will be an introduction to film, writing the script, casting and preparing for the film shoot. The 2nd Sunday is for filming, and the 3rd Sunday, for editing, composition, sound design and visual effects, if needed. The short film will be premiere at the festival in April and hopefully encourage the group to go out on their own and make more films.
