On Tuesday, April 27th UConn Early College Experience and the Environmental Science Faculty invite all certified UConn ECE Environmental Science Instructors to participate in the annual professional development conference for the 2020-2021 AY. The speaker for this workshop is Parker McMullen Bushman.

Did you know that often times the zip-code of where you live is an indicator of your lifespan and general health? Join Parker McMullen Bushman for an Environmental Justice workshop where you will learn and gain an introduction to environmental justice (EJ) and how environmental hazards affect different communities. This will include a lecture on, and discussion of, the connections between socio-cultural inequity and environmental issues, as well as a brief history of the EJ movement.

Parker McMullen Bushman is the Colorado State University Director of Extension for the City and County of Denver. Her background in the education, conservation, outdoor recreation, and interpretive fields spans over 23+ years. She has a Master of Natural Resources from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point, with a focus in Environmental Education and Interpretation.
