Event description

Description

We'll spend Earth Day mapping native and invasive plants along Alameda Creek using our cell phones and Calflora's Observer Pro app.

We'll meet at 10 am in the Niles Staging Area picnic grounds. Niles Staging Area has very limited parking, so please park along Old Canyon Rd. We'll work until 12:00 pm.

Please wear long pants and sturdy, closed-toe shoes that can get dirty (no sandals or flip-flops). The work isn't on much of a slope, but the ground can be uneven. Please wear clothes that can get damp and possibly dirty. Heavy rain cancels. Those who register can expect an email in the event of a cancellation.

Please bring water for yourself in a re-usable bottle. It's important to have water when working outdoors, and bringing your own reusable water bottle is the most sustainable way to stay hydrated.

All participants need signed waiver forms (one for the ACA and one for Alameda County), and anyone under 18 needs a parental signature.

No need to print out your ticket
