3rd Annual Will Gholston Football Camp

Xplosive Performance Academy and The Institute for Athletes presents the 3rd Annual Will Gholston Youth Football Camp, free for the community of Detroit, Michigan.
Participants, 8-16 years of age are encouraged to join Tampa Bay Buccaneer, Will Gholston, his teammates and Xplosive Academy coaches as they teach the fundamentals and technique required to perform at the highest level of your game. With four (4) hours of instruction, participants will receive hands-on training alongside the nation's best while learning valuable life skills and the importance of health and safety as a young athlete from health professionals.
In addition, there will be two separate leadership and educational discussions with Will Gholston on what he believes are the keys to leading a successful life -- Dedication, Determination, and Drive. Will looks forward to giving back to the community that raised him by promoting how good character, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic can propel our youth into strong, contributing members of the Detroit community.

Time: 1 - 5 p.m. | *Food will be provided at the end of the camp, please notate any allergies during the registration process
Location: Detroit Mumford High School
Attire: T-shirt, Shorts & Sneakers
Cost: Free (Must pre-register)
Walkup registration is accepted, though the camp is limited to 200 people due to size limitations.
Note: A parent/guardian 18 years or older must be present at the time of check-in on the day of the camp to complete a waiver form, removing the liability from the event holders, sponsors, hosts and organizers of this event in the event of injury. It should be noted that all necessary measure of health and safety will be taken, including having a medical professional on-field.
In the event of inclement weather (thunder/lightning), the camp will be canceled and further information will be provided to participants in a timely manner should that be an issue.

After being selected in the 4th round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Will Gholston made it his purpose to make an impact on his team & community. Coming out of his Detroit high school as a top-ranked prospect, Will made his mark on the Michigan State Spartans, earning numerous honors including selections on All-Big Ten teams & the Most Outstanding Detroit-Area Player in 2012.
Earning the nickname “Too Tall” during high school as a 6’7” linebacker, Will was on his way to living his dreams of playing in the NFL, with nothing short of hard work & enduring dedication to the game and those around him.
Will continues to use his platform as a professional athlete to impact the lives of others through his commitment to intercity youth as a role model. As an agile four-year veteran defensive end in Tampa, Will is looking to bring his intensity & increasing potential to fruition on and off the field.
