Can I Attend the ”Hands on for Educators” break out session?
We are happy to share that Dr. Braden is planning a “Hands on for Educators” breakout session after lunch that is open to all educators that attend the conference. All you need to do is identify the individual with FXS or ASD’s interests such as TV shows, video games, obsessions (elevators opening or closing, cooking etc) or books or favorite toys. Then the educators will find images on line that match the area of interest. Those images can be used to make matching activities, reading materials, math sheets and tokens. Her lecture during this session will include actual materials and slides to illustrate how they are used. They are so high strength that they can be used to teach new concepts in all areas of learning and even as a reinforcer. One member from each team will go home from the conference with the material that is designed for that individual on a flash drive.
How much does it cost?
$35 per person which includes continental breakfast, lunch and materials. Certificates of attendance will be provided for each attendee.
