About this event
The self-guided garden tour is an annual fundraiser for Lord & Schryver Conservancy. Learn more about the organization and our tour sponsors at www.lordschryver.org. The one-day ticket price is $30 per person ages 16 and older and free under age 16. A two-day ticket may be purchased for $40 for those who prefer to tour at a more leisurely pace.
Limited timed entry tickets are required to manage capacity and safety. Select to come Saturday or Sunday and on the hour between 10am and 3pm. No tickets may be purchased on site during the garden tour.
Please note: Due to hilly and uneven terrain, accessibility to the gardens on this tour may not be safe or comfortable for those with mobility issues. Driving between individual gardens is discouraged to respect the privacy of the neighbors.
The tour begins with your check-in at Fairmount City Park where you will receive the tour map. If you drive, we urge you to park at the Eye Care Physicians & Surgeons lot at 2001 Commercial Street (cross street is Rural Avenue.) A free shuttle will take you from the parking lot to the Welcome Tent. Please consider taking public transportation. A bus stop is conveniently located at the corner of Commercial Street and Rural Avenue. There is limited free parking along Rural Avenue and neighboring streets.
Fairmount Park has public bathrooms, picnic tables and grassy areas to spread a blanket if you wish to bring a picnic meal. We are exploring the possibility of food trucks to purchase lunch or snacks.

About the organizer
The Lord & Schryver Conservancy preserves, interprets and stewards the legacy of landscape architects Elizabeth Lord and Edith Schryver for public enrichment. These lifelong person and business partners created over 200 public and private gardens in the Pacific Northwest from 1929 to 1969. In addition to being landscape architects, Lord & Schryver were notable educators, writers, businesswomen, artists and civic leaders. We offer cultural, educational and arts programs that support our mission and welcome the community to visit Gaiety Hollow, our headquarters near downtown Salem.
