3rd Annual Longshot Men's Retreat
Friday, October 18, 2013 at 8:00 PM - Sunday, October 20, 2013 at 11:55 AM (CDT)
La Grange, TX
Is this event for Lutherans only or for Christians only?
No, absolutley not! Please feel free to bring a buddy who is of any faith or no faith at all. This event is simply an opportunity for men to hang out and grow as men. The men with no religious affiliation who have attended this retreat, have often brought some of the best insight and created some of the strongest friendships of all who attended.
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
All attendees must be 18 years of age or older at the time of the event.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
You will be responsible for providing/finding your own transportation to the event. Check with other men in your church or your area, to arrange carpools and caravans. This sort of arrangement is not only convenient, but can make the event and the travel time even more enjoyable for you.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
The restrictions on items to bring are very limited. Essentially, the only things not allowed are anything which is already illegal (i.e. drugs, fully automatic weapons, pirated music/videos, and mattress tags which have been removed by someone who does not own the mattress). Also, anything that would be deemed lude or crass, will not be allowed. So no vulgar clothing, vulgar language, vulgar music, lude videos or pictures.
We do encourage you to bring snacks, beverages and other items which might enhance free time with the guys. This may enclude:
Beverages (alcoholic beverages are permitted. Responsible drinking and behavior is expected)
Food (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner will be provided, but snack foods are welcome for evening free times, etc.)
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Having your ticket will make registration much easier for you and for us, but we will have a master list of all who have registered and paid on hand, so if you forget or misplace your ticket, no worries.
The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?
Ticket names don't have to match the person's name. Some of you may wish to purchase tickets for a friend or donate a ticket to someone who cannot pay. If this is the case, please contact Pastor Aaron to help you match your donation with someone who could use the help.
