G.Hesslau Magrady: 2016 Soon to be Famous Ilinois Author
She will discuss the author’s writing journey from initial idea, the writing process, self-publication, and the Soon to be Famous Illinois Author award, an honor given annually by the Illinois State Library.
Her book, LINES-, is a self-published historical fiction novel set around the events of the 1871 Chicago Fire. The events in LINES- are inspired by her great great grandmother’s real experiences in Chicago in the late 1800’s. Currently Magrady lives in the Chicago suburbs and teaches high school English. Mary Kubica is the author of the thriller/suspense novels The Good Girl and Pretty Baby. The Good Girl received a Strand Critics Nomination for Best First Novel and was a nominee in the Goodreads Choice Awards in Debut Goodreads Author and in Mystery & Thriller for 2014. Don’t You Cry is her most recent third novel.
