Lil' Miss Story Hour welcomes children of all ages, backgrounds, and languages for a celebration of freedom!

On Saturday, June 18, 2022, Lil’ Miss Story Hour has the honor of being a part the three-day Southern Colorado Juneteenth Festival for the second year in a row! Lil' Miss Story Hour will be celebrating the history of Juneteenth, Freedom Day, or present-day Black 4th of July, Black History, culture,music, community, and heritage as well as pride with a variety of artists, art forms, crafts, and picture books! Explorations include but are not limited to writing, illustrations, mathematics, music, and social experiences.
Book selections will be "I Am Perfectly Designed," by Karamo and Jason Brown; "All Different Now," by Angela Johnson; and "Harlem's Little Blackbird," by Renee Watson. Special guests will include vocalist Tiffany Scott; visual artist, Kai Gaynor; DJj ChloeBeeBlessed; and dance instructor, Leona Abdullah-Ward.
