Join your community for Juneteenth performances, a youth basketball clinic, blood drive, health clinic, food trucks, and more family fun!
The free community event celebrates the liberation of Blacks from bondage, the many successes achieved since emancipation, and the rich cultural heritage that continues to thrive.
A variety of activities for families and children of all ages are scheduled. Highlights include:
10 a.m. - 11 a.m. Youth Basketball Clinic hosted by Catch the Stars Foundation - Separate RSVP required
10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Versiti Blood Center mobile blood drive - Appointment preferred
11 a.m. - 11:10 a.m. Emancipation libation opening ceremony led by Anthony Artis (Baba Amoah)
11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Juneteenth Performances
In addition to Tea’s Me Community Café, Lupita Food Truck will be on site for the event. Community groups, nonprofits, and service organizations will staff information tables and distribute material about programs and services of community interest. A full list of community tables and activities will be released in early June.
