Are you ready for some serious training and fun? Make it a Girls Get Away Weekend in beautiful Amish Country!

Girlz N Guns 3rd Annual Training Weekend October 5th and 6th

11:30 -1:30- pm Weapon Retention

We are bringing this one back because it's so important! If you took it last year, this will be a refresher and chance to practice!

One of the biggest mistakes gun owners make is failing to develop and maintain proper weapon retention skills.

In this hands on seminar students will learn the principles, techniques and tactics to defeat an attacker intent on taking their weapon. Topics to include: Mind set, equipment, carry position, holstered weapon retention, and un holstered weapon retention. Each student will receive a complimentary Barrelblok in the caliber of their carry gun. We will use the barrelblok to render the weapons in-operable during our training.

3:00 -5:00 - NRA Refuse to be a Victim

Safety experts agree the single most important step towards ensuring you personal safety is making the conscious decision to Refuse To Be A Victim. You stand a much better chance of preventing criminal attack if you develop a safety plan before you need it. This seminar will teach methods to avoid dangerous situations and prevent criminal confrontations. Experts agree the most important factor in surviving a criminal attack is to have an overall safety strategy before you need it. Seminar topics address personal safety issues as well as home, automobile, telephone, technological, and travel security. Seminar participants are presented with a variety of common‑sense crime prevention and personal safety strategies and devices they may integrate into their daily lives.

Skill Level for Pistol : If you can load, rack, unload, lock your slide back and use safe gun handling with a pistol, then you are ready! We will teach you how to draw from a holster if you don't already know how. if you are not sure of your skill level, please ask. We will divide students based on their skill level.

Equipment needed:

  • Handgun .380 or higher caliber ( micro guns not recommended)
  • Holster specific to your handgun (hard sided, outside the waistband, OWB. NO HOLSTERS that require you to press a button to release tension, such as the black hawk Serpa holster.)
  • Min. 2 mags
  • Mag carrier
  • Sturdy belt (fits your holster)
  • Eye and hearing protection (preferrably electronic)
  • Brimmed hat

400 rounds of ammo for your handgun

  • Carry gun and holster for the self defense seminar ( if you have one)

Suggested items:

  • Comfortable athletic shoes and clothing
  • Sunscreen/bugspray
  • Snacks
  • Notebook and pen

COST: $250 ( does not include on line registration eventbrite fee) BOTH DAYS
