FAQs:

What does the tgin Foundation do?

Founded in 2017, the tgin Foundation, is a 501(c)(3) not for profit that supports uninsured women undergoing treatment for breast cancer, and raises awareness of the impact of health disparities on survivor outcomes. We have raised over $50,000 to date to subsidize free mammograms, offer breast navigation services to underinsured patients, and raise awareness amongst women under 40 about the importance of early detection.

What do the proceeds of this event benefit?

The proceeds for this event will benefit women who are in need of financial assistance with transportation and childcare who are battling breast cancer. In addition, we are also looking to raise $50,000 to renovate a breast oncology waiting room on the south side of Chicago to give patients a more positive medical experience and optimistic outlook on their health care journey. Your financial support of the tgin Waiting Room Renovation Project will directly impact 13,000 breast cancer patients and positively impact over 15,000 patients, families and direct staff.

Why is this issue important?

In the City of Chicago, black women are 42% more likely to die from breast cancer than the general population in the city of Chicago due to financial reasons (e.g. transportation, child care, lack of sick time, safety net hospitals with dated technology, etc.). This health disparity is largely preventable as this number drops to 19% in places like New York and 0% in citires like San Francisco, CA. We're working to fix this. You can too!

Can my corporation donate?

Absolutely! If you're interested in corporate sponsorship, please email Erica at marketingsupport@tginatural.com.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Attendees must be 21+ to consume alcohol and to enter the event.

Is there a cost?

Yes. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the tgin Foundation and will benefit local women currently battling breast cancer.

Is there a dresscode?

There is no official dress code but it is suggested that guests wear business casual attire and/or cocktail attire.

Attendees are encouraged to wear PINK in support of breast cancer survivors. However, PINK attire is not a requirement.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Street parking is available nearby, though it is very limited. It is recommended that attendees use rideshare or take public transportation.

Loft on Lake is located near the Morgan and Ashland stops on the Green/Pink lines. For any guests not using public transportation or Uber/Lyft services, we suggest parking in a public garage around the corner on Ada just north of Fulton Mkt St. It is about $10/car after 4pm and on the weekend.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Printed tickets are not required. Attendees are allowed to show their tickets on their phones at the registration table.

Can I update my registration information?

Yes! Please do!
