The 3rd Annual Virtual BFHES Teach-In takes place Thursday, July 14-16, 2022.
Created by and for Black parents who homeschool, the teach-in will feature over a dozen presentations by Black homeschooling parents that will inform, inspire and engage Black homeschooling families at various stages of their homeschooling practice.

New and Returning speakers offer exciting panels, coffee talks and workshops that revolve around getting one started for homeschooling, cultivating a homeschool mindset and feeling empowered as a homeschooling parent. Returning speakers include Homeschooling Guru Queen Taese of Liberated Minds, Forbes-recognized Homeschool Entrepreneur Jade Weatherington of Teacher Jade, Podcaster Jason Esters, Homeschooling Coach Adirah Aishet-Tsalmiel, Mathematician Akil Parker, and more. New presenters will discuss topics ranging from homeschooling a teen on a college pathway and earning scholarships to homeschooling successfully as a single parent. BFHES director, Dr. Khadijah Ali-Coleman will host this three-day virtual event which will highlight the BFHES publication, Homeschooling Black Children in the US: Theory, Practice & Popular Culture that is now on sale.

The teach-in community will take place on a site designed specifically for this event and sessions will be streamed through Zoom. More information will be shared with registrants after registering.
