About this event
The Third Annual Bill Black Virtual 5k Race is a local community fundraiser in memory of Bill Black, a father and coach to many young athletes. Proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit the Gwinnet Co. Special Olympics/ Schools on behalf of Bill who was a board member for many years, volunteering his time and knowledge to those in need.
This is a virtual race, it can be run from any location you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on the road, on the trail, on the treadmill, at the gym, or on the track (or even at another race). You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself. You can even get your friends and/or your kids to race with you too!
We will not need times submitted as there will not be a winner announced, this event is for all to enjoy and get out of the house and get active.
On behalf of Bill and all of our wonderful community of parent vonlunteers, we thank you for particpating!

About the organizer
My name is Hadassa, I am a new board member for the Special Olympics of Gwinnett County Schools. I am a recent graduate of Saint Petersburg College and through their Mentorship program I was connect with this gret organization which I am not a part of. I have a passion for helping others and could not be more lucky to be a part of such an amazing organization. This is my first year on the board and my goal is to use all the skills and knowledge I obtained during my mentorship for the benefit of this organization. All online events held by me are on behalf of the Special Olympics of Gwinnet County Schools.
