Justice for the Three Drowned Black Girls Committee Presents:
3DBG Web Conference Series

These will be livestreamed for the 3DBG Campaign Facebook page and later uploaded to our YouTube account.

Our kickoff Web Conference is taking place on Tuesday, October 24th, the 21st anniversary of the police murder of 18-year-old Tyron Lewis at a traffic stop in front of scores of community members, only 3 blocks from the Uhuru House. That night the African working class of St. Pete rose up in a rebellion which was highly politicized and well-organized. To understand the significance of this event for our struggle for justice for the Dominique, Laniya, and Ashaunti today, we are honored to invite Chairman Omali Yeshitela of the African People's Socialist Party as our guest speaker. He will lay out the timeline of the uprising in 1996 as well as the leadership of the Uhuru Movement and the critical question of economic development that he raised and waged during this period. He will be joined by 3DBG Campaign Chair Akile Anai.

Save the date to tune in on October 24, 2017, 7-830 pm EST.
