Experience 3D additive printing first hand. The Replicator 2 will be used to print PLA plastic. Materials, and tools will be provided (already included in ticket) in a open structured learning plan. Due to a limited number of workstations for designing, and one printing machine the class will be limited to 8 people max
You will learn how to:
Process the CAM job for Replicator 2 output
load filement, operate the Replicator 2, trim, edge finish pieces.
How 3D objects can be used for making metal, plastic, and glass parts though lost PLA casting.
Make a "thing".
Project ideas will be provided. Most projects and ideas welcome.
You don't have to know CAD... you can just find something fun on www.thingiverse.com

About the instructor: Paul Hardin has been working with glass, recycled glass and LED lighting effects with a concentration on fusing and casting large flat works. His day job is as a electronics engineer with background in hardware and firmware design.
