3D Printing Camp Session 2
Mon, Jul 10, 2017, 8:00 AM – Fri, Jul 14, 2017, 5:00 PM EDT
This camp teaches students how to take their CAD drawings from a computer screen and print them out as physical objects on their very own 3D printer. The machine comes completely assembled and ready to use. 3D printers are used to produce engineering prototypes, custom control boxes, and more! Ideal for prototyping and education, students use these machines to make one offs and structural models. Additive manufacturing (3D printing) allows students to enhance their CAD (computer aided design) skills and produce real world 3 dimensional objects from their virtual drawings or CAD files. This year, a SOLIDWORKS (CAD Software) session will also be included in this camp. All participants will receive a free SOLIDWORKS license to install the software on their own computers!
