3D Design With Sketchup
Friday, August 31, 2012 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM (EDT)
This Workshop will be an introduction to using 3d CAD. We will focus on using SketchUp, a freely available tool that runs on the Windows, Mac and LINUX.
In this workshop we will go over the tools in sketchup and how to use it for design of 3d objects. Leverage this tool to figure out how to rearrange your living room, design an addition, or design mechanical objects.
The goal of the workshop will be to have the attendee be able to get usable manufacturing data from a design. Modeling things in 3d allows mistakes to be understood before anything is cut. This will be used as a tool
This workshop requires a an understanding of computers and geometry to be get the greatest value out.
SketchUp is available for free at http://sketchup.google.com/intl/en/product/gsu.html
