About this event

Are you looking for a different, more meaningful holiday experience? For over 55 years, our small, close-knit, inclusive community has celebrated Judaism in a secular, non-theistic manner. Our affordable High Holidays are in English, short, and focus on relevant readings rather than traditional prayers. Most are followed by a holiday meal! Give us a try - you may find a new Jewish home!

Rosh Hashanah

Date: Monday, September 26, 2022 at 10:00 am (Please come early).

Location: Solon Rec Center, 35000 Portz Pkwy, Solon, OH 44139.

Program: JSC will provide a light lunch after the program.

Guests: $18.00. Fees can be applied to JSC membership which includes catered Shabbats, speaker series, social events, and other holidays.

RSVP: By September 22

Yom Kippur

Date: Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at 7:00 pm.

Location: Shaker Lakes Nature Center, 2600 S Park Blvd, Cleveland, OH 44120.

Program: The Kol Nidre will be played at Erev Yom Kippur. Please bring a brief (under two minutes), non-theistic personal reflection, poem or reading to share. There will an opportunity to share memories about deceased loved ones.

Guests: $18.00. Fees can be applied to JSC membership which includes catered Shabbats, speaker series, social events, and other holidays.

Break-the-Fast

Date: Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at 4:00 pm.

Location: Unitarian Universalist Congregation 21600 Shaker Blvd. Shaker Hts. Ohio 44122

Program: A traditional Break-the-Fast meal will be provided.

Guests: $18.00. Fees can be applied to JSC membership which includes catered Shabbats, speaker series, social events, and other holidays.

RSVP: By October 1

COVID-19

We will meet in person. Only fully vaccinated people may attend. Honesty is assumed. As conditions evolve, we may make changes. Please check for updates on our website.
