Description

Get prepared for your backcountry adventures. Whether you ski, board, sled, hike or ride a snowmachine, this course can help you take your adventures to the next level safely. Taught by professional outdoor instructors, you'll learn the skills you need to make decisions based on solid facts. Don't get caught unprepared, make sure you have the tools and skills you need so you'll know how to respond in an emergency situation.

This course is appropriate for everyone age 10 and up from newcomers to those with experience looking to brush up their skills. All courses address the needs and skill level of the audience. We incorporate video, photos and hands-on activities to make the program interesting and effective.

This course is free thanks to support from the Alaska Deptartment of Public Safety. Students under 14 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. If yoiu have rescue gear, we recommend you bring yours so you can practice and learn with your equipment. If not, we will have some loaner gear available.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

No age restrictions but recommended for everyone age 10 and up. All students under 14 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

To be held at Delta Power Sports in Delta Junction. Free parking available onsite.

What can/can't I bring to the event?

Bring friends and any rescue equipment you may have (beacon, shovel, probe) Do not bring pets.
