Event description

Description

“Breaking news” is a hot issue broadcasters believe warrants interruption of current news or programming. In 2018, not a single day has gone by without what seems like breaking news for anyone who manages people and a workforce.

This year’s seminar is designed to help manage the “breaking news” in human resources you encounter every day. We start with what’s “Just In” including case law and updates from the Big Three agencies, including the latest summary on sexual harassment. From there, we move to a “News Bulletin” on managing employee complaints and performance. We close the day with “Dateline: Investigations”, which highlights legal protections to keep your workplace safe from a physical as well as cyber point of view.

Whether you’re the CEO or HR Director, you’ll leave this seminar prepared to meet the next news cycle with knowledge and confidence in hand.

What We'll Cover

  • Case Law Update
  • News from the Big Three
  • #METoo and Sexual Harassment
  • ERISA/Employment Benefits
  • Receiving Complaints, Preparing for Unemployment Claims
  • Performance Improvement Plan
  • Workplace Safety and Security: From Physical to Cyber
