This symposium is designed for cardiovascular specialists, internists and family physicians concerned with the latest advances in cardiovascular medicine. New information on mechanisms and management will be highlighted by renowned authorities in the field.

Educational Objectives

  • Appraise advancing use of CCTA in anatomical and physiologic (CT-PP) diagnosis of coronary artery disease
  • Utilize CT and MR appropriately in diagnosis of cardiac disorders
  • Recognize use of durable mechanical support (LVAD & RVAD) as destination therapies for advanced heart failure.
  • Distinguish use of ECMO or IMPELLA in treatment of acute circulatory failure depending on clinical scenario
  • Apply current recommendations for use of statues in primary prevention of CAD including learn appropriate use of PCSK9 inhibitors.
  • Implementing practice guidelines directed imaging techniques for evaluation of CAD in women
