KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Khaled Chatila, M.D.

Assistant Professor of Medicine, Associate Program Director of Cardiology Fellowship, Division of Cardiology, Heart Failure, LVAD, Transplant, University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, TX

Purpose of Symposium: Heart disease is the number one killer in the United States. It is important that practitioners be able to recognize the most common challenges facing the cardiac patient and offer the most appropriate and up-to-date care available in this ever changing discipline. The importance of teamwork between the patient, cardiologist and family physician is essential when caring for the patient with heart disease.

Target audience: Cardiologists, surgeons, internists, family practitioners, residents, physician assistants, nurses, paramedics and EMTs, respiratory therapists, student, and all others interested in the patient with heart disease.

 Cancellations received 1-2 days prior to conference: 50% of registration paid
