This year the Santa Monica Lions Club is continuing its tradition of honoring outstanding Santa Monica community members by honoring RoseMary Regalbuto.
RoseMary began her career as a part-time employee of the local home food delivery program founded by the Westside Ecumenical Conference and run out of the kitchens at both St. John's Hospital and Santa Monica Hospital. As it grew, the organization changed its name to Meals on Wheels West with RoseMary ultimately assuming the position of president/CEO. In December 2013, RoseMary retired after 27 years of helping to deliver meals, raise awareness and seek funding for the agency.
RoseMary is also a member of the Santa Monica Rotary Club and the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce.

Santa Monica Lions Club
The Santa Monica Lions Club has been active in the city of Santa Monica, supporting many local public service organizations, while promoting the mission of Lions Club International (LCI), since 1923.
In 2011 the Club provided finanacial assistance to 13 Santa Monica organizations, nine Westside organizations, three interantional initiatives and two special LCI projects. Members of the club also volunteered time with Santa Monica service organizations.
The SM Club hosts the Community Recognition Dinner each spring, honoring an outstanding member of the Santa Monica community, and the Student Speaker's Contest starting in January, allowing students from local high schools to compete for college scholarships. The primary fundraiser of the organization is the Pancake Breakfast, held each fall at the Santa Monica Boys & Girls Club.
In addition to Club sponsored acitivites, members also select and attend a number of social events each year that include, theater performances, concerts, and guided tours.
