Join the SC Chapter as we celebrate PRIDE Month for the training: Safe Spaces: Becoming an LGBTQIA+ Ally. Presented by Aubrey L. Sejuit, Ph.D., LISW-CP, LCAS, MEd, GCDF, and Zaria “Ziggy” Walker, BSW is a current MSW Candidate on June 1, 2022, from 10am-12pm. 2 Social Work Ceu's Awarded!
Description of Training: Limestone University’s Sib Collins Counseling Center has provided the campus with Safe Zone training to help students, faculty, and staff become allies. This training provides awareness of LGBTQIA+ issues, gives a greater sense of safety for this oftentimes marginalized population, informs allies of their roles, and acts as a resource. This training will provide social workers with a more in-depth look at what it means to be LGBTQIA+ and explain how to best support members of this community.
