* Exploring Dramatic Play and Themes (8:45-10:45)
-Workshop to help identify various dramatic play themes useful in enhancing experiences for children as they move through the four stages of pretend play.
* Stop Yelling! Start WINNING with Positive Discipline (11:00-1:00)
-Teachers search for ways to combat challenging behavior in their classrooms. This training will help identify the reasons why children misbehave, explain why they don't respond well to punishment, and describe positive techniques for dealing with misbehavior.
*The Language of Blocks (2:00-4:00)
-"If it locks, it isn't a block!" So what is a block center and why block play? We explore the art of building, being inquisitive about construction and how block play builds math and scientific skills that children need to be successful. Teachers will learn how to develop block language through hands-on-play themselves.
* There a 15 minute break between the first two classes, and lunch will be from 1:00-2:00
Cost: $15 per person for those NOT yet participating in Quality Rated
Cost: FREE for those already participating in Quality Rated
Payment in the form of CHECK or MONEY ORDER ONLY will be accepted at time of event.
If you would like to attend training for $0 Technical Assistants will be available at training to assist you in submitting an application for Quality Rated.
*All workshops are approved by Bright from the Start, Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning as part of the annual training requirements for child care providers.
