32-hour MedGas Installer (Deadline for applications is September 28th)

This is a 32-hour course will be held in Fallbrook, CA, at A.W. Johnson & Associates
4-days: Tuesday-Friday, October 18th - 21st, from 8:00am to 4:00 pm
Registrations AND the "Application for Medical Gas Installer/Brazer Certification Exam" must be received no later than Thursday, September 22nd in order to comply with testing requirements. Each student must have a minimum of 4-years plumbing experience to take this course.

Please make sure this application is completed in detail. Current/past employer info must include full Company name, street address, city, state, zip and phone number. Years of employment must include month AND year for employment start and end date for each employer.
A Medical Gas Installer certification candidate is a qualified individual who can demonstrate competence within their scope and will be proficient in and experienced in the installation of medical gas and vacuum systems covered by the ASSE Series 6000 Standard. Installers include anyone who works on or installs piping or components, including brazers. A qualified Medical Gas Installer may perform these tasks alone, or through the supervision of other individuals.
In addition to knowledge of product installation, a Medical Gas Installer is required to have a general knowledge of the applicable laws, codes, rules, listing agencies, and regulations from the federal, state, and local levels pertaining to medical gas and vacuum systems as well as knowledge of product performance, system and system component testing, documenting and recording, and medical gas terminology.
Medical gas systems and equipment covered in the ASSE Series 6000 Standard include health care facilities within the scope of NFPA 99, Health Care Facilities Code. Medical gas piping systems include vacuum piping.
Each student is responsible to bring the following on the final day of class, no exceptions:
•5' of 1-112" type L copper tubing
•7 ea. 1-1/2" Couplings
•BCuP-2 or -3 or -5 filler metal
•Heating gas, torch and tip- I recommend a #32 if you are us- ing a Turbo Torch and you may need more than one B tank!
•Clean tubing cutter
•I.D. cleaning brush SS
•3M green, maroon, or gray cleaning pads
•Clean lint-free white cloths
•Safety Glasses and clean gloves
Nitrogen purge gas will be provided.

CANCELLATION POLICY: To receive a refund, you must cancel no later than the September 28nd application deadline. If you are tuition-covered, PLEASE NOTE your training funds can only pay for your tuition if you attend the entire class and receive your certificate. If you do not cancel within the required time or do not show up for or complete the course, you or your company (whoever registers you for the course) will be responsible for the full tuition.
