Description

Join the Joiner Institute for a night of poetry and music celebrating the 30th year of our annual Writers' Workshop and its many years of community and creative responses to war.

Featuring Yusef Komunyakaa, Carolyn Forché, Boston Poet Laureate Danielle Legros Georges, Bruce Weigl, Kevin Bowen, Vietnamese Poetry in Translation, as well as live music by Layth Sidiq, the UMB Jazz Trio, and more! Art by Iraqi artists Elham al-Zabaedy and Asmaa al-Hasan will be on display in the atrium.

Co-sponsored by Boston's Poet Laureate, and Grub Street.

Free and Open to the Public

Note: Seating is available on a first come, first serve basis, and the RSVP does not guarantee a seat in the lecture hall. All Writers' Workshop participants will get automatic entry to the event.
