About this event

Last year we launched Fund the Hubs, a campaign calling on the government to invest in early support hubs for every young person in England. Hundreds of MPs and local decision-makers around the country received hand-written letters from Youth Access members and young people, calling on them to Fund The Hubs.

We may not have been successful in securing budget for hubs last year, but young people are still in dire need of easy-to-access local mental health services. Now, we have a MAJOR opportunity to secure this investment as the government is working up a new 10-year mental health strategy.

It's time to kick-start the next phase of Fund the Hubs and apply collective pressure on the government to invest in hubs.

What will the session cover?

Using resources and tools on the Rights Advocate Online Hub - our new digital training platform that was co-produced with young activists - we will begin strategising around the government's new mental health plan, so that you can leave the session with a plan for how to go about taking action in your local area.

Who should attend?

  • Young people (aged up to 25) who use Youth Access member services
  • Staff members who work with young people and can support them in the session and/or on the campaign
  • Existing Rights Advocates in the Our Minds Our Future campaign

Please note:

The last day to register for this event is Tuesday 10th May.

Attendees of this workshop will be receiving printed resources to support their participation in this event. As such - we will be following up with you to coordinate this delivery, as well as to get all necessary parties registered on the online platform in time for the event.

Please keep an eye on your email so that we can confirm the necessary details by Friday 13th May.

*Formerly titled 'Campaign Workshop', this is the same event as previously planned, just with a new title to express the session contents more clearly.
