Event description
A class with 30 minutes of low-impact, fat-burning strengthening exercises followed by 30 minutes of "working from home" stretches.

About this Event

The first half of the class is focused on FUNctional FITness with an emphasis on "FUN!" Through a combination of low-impact moves and strengthening exercises for your upper and lower body, we've got you covered with an awesome workout. Weights are optional, and the music will be motivating and pumpin’ so be prepared to sing out loud!

The second half will be comprised of short-burst stretches you can do to break up your day while working from home remotely, wherever that might be. Some of the stretches will be in a chair and others will be standing so you can mix and match as you wish throughout your day!

After class, as an extra bonus, we will have Chef Jason Graham show us how to make his beloved homemade, healthy granola😋

MICHELE LAROCQUE

With over 30 years in the fitness industry, Michele continues to motivate and inspire everyone she touches. With experience choreographing for high school Musical Theater programs; bringing her fun spirit and creativity to fundraisers; designing individualized fitness formats for private clients; and her greatest love of all, teaching Zumba, Michele never tires of sharing her passion for fitness and helping people live a healthier, sustainable lifestyle!

Michele currently teaches group exercise classes to all ages and fitness levels. She offers a variety of fitness formats and specializes in FUNctional Fitness, dance and Zumba. Her résumé includes leading fitness clubs and resort spas in East Bay Northern California and the San Diego/Southern California area.

DONNA FLAGG

After spending her childhood dancing, Donna Flagg went on to study at Philadelphia's University of the Arts and graduate with highest honors from Rutgers University with a degree in Dance. Later, Donna earned two Masters Degrees in Education from New York University, also finishing at the top of her class.

Influenced by her training in classical ballet, jazz, modern and musical theater, Donna created Lastics Stretch Technique, a method designed to help people of all ages and levels improve their flexibility. Her stretch classes have been taught at Joffrey Ballet School in New York, Joffrey Academy of Dance in Chicago, Alvin Ailey, Steps on Broadway, Peridance Center, Dance Teachers Association of New Jersey, BroadwayCon, New Jersey Dance Center, Athleta and more! In addition, Donna is a featured guest every year at Cal-a-Vie Health Spa in San Diego, California.
