Claudia Karapanou was born in Salerno (Italy) and grew up in Greece.
She started taking ballet classes at the age of four and continued with artistic gymnastics and later on with Latin/ballroom dances and Argentinian Tango .
In 2009 she had her first contact with flamenco and after 6 years, she decided to move to Seville and took classes with Ursula Lopez, and with many other dancers, such as Andrés Marin, Manuela Rios, Farruquito, Ana Morales, Rocio Molina, Juan Paredes, Maria Moreno, Irene la Sentío, who are recognized as the elite in the genre.
She has performed on many international stages and festivals in Spain, Greece, Malta, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands.
Since September 2019, she has been living in Rotterdam, giving classes and performing inside and outside the Netherlands. The harbor city is being a great new inspiration for Claudia, because of its multicultural character and its great variety of international artists...

WORKSHOPS DETAILS:
Palo / Rhythm to be taught: Tangos / Bulerias al cante
When: Sunday, July 24 to Tuesday, July 26th from 11:00 AM to 12.30
Where: Cultural Association of Vamos
"The class will start by warming up, with exercises for body movement, footwork, and compás.
Small sequences of bulerias and tangos will be taught in order to be danced to the corresponded letras*. We will see how and when to put a remate, a marcaje ** or a llamada*** while dancing to the letra.
The aim of this class is not only to learn a sequence of steps, but to learn how to use those steps and play around with them according to the cante (singing) and be able to enjoy our dancing more! "

Η Κλαούντια Καραπάνου, γεννήθηκε στο Σαλέρνο (Ιταλία) και μεγάλωσε στην Ελλάδα.
Άρχισε να παρακολουθεί μαθήματα μπαλέτου, σε ηλικία 4 ετών και συνέχισε με ρυθμική γυμναστική, λάτιν χορούς και Αργεντίνικο ταγκό.
Το 2009, ήρθε σε επαφή με το Flamenco και το 2015 αποφάσισε να μετακομίσει στη Σεβίλλη, όπου παρακολούθησε μαθήματα με την Ursula Lopez, και πολλούς ακόμα χορευτές, όπως οι Andrés Marin, Manuela Rios, Farruquito, Ana Morales, Rocio Molina, Juan Paredes, Maria Moreno, Irene la Sentío, που θεωρούνται η αφρόκρεμα του είδους.
Έχει συμμετάσχει σε πολλές μουσικές σκηνές και φεστιβάλ στην Ισπανία, την Ελλάδα, τη Μάλτα, την Ελβετία, Γερμανία, Ιταλία και Ολλανδία.
Από τον Σεπτέμβριο του 2019, μετακόμισε στο Ρότερνταμ, όπου δίνει μαθήματα και χορεύει εντός και εκτός χώρας. Η όμορφη αυτή πόλη είναι μεγάλη έμπνευση για την Κλαούντια, λόγω του πολυεθνικού χαρακτήρα της και της μεγάλης συγκέντρωσης καλλιτεχνών από όλο τον κόσμο.

Πότε: Κυριακή 24 με Τρίτη 26 Ιουλίου, από τις 11:00 πμ έως τις 12.30
Που: Πολιτιστικός Σύλλογος Βάμου
" Το μάθημα θα αρχίσει με ένα ζέσταμα, με ασκήσεις για την κίνηση του σώματος, ασκήσεις ποδιών και ρυθμού.
Θα διδαχθούν μικρά κομμάτια από Τάγκος και Μπουλερίας, με σκοπό να μπορούν να χορευτούν στις εκάστοτε λέτρας.* Θα μάθουμε πως να τοποθετούμε ένα μαρκαρισμα** ή μια γιαμάδα*** καθώς χορεύουμε τη λέτρα.
Σκοπός του μαθήματος δεν είναι απλά να μάθουμε βήματα, αλλά πως να τα χρησιμοποιούμε και να παίζουμε με αυτ, ανάλογα με το τραγούδι και να είμαστε έτσι σε θέση να απολαύσουμε αυτό που κάνουμε."

En 2009 tuvo su primer contacto con el flamenco y después de 6 años decidió mudarse a Sevilla y tomó clases con Úrsula López, y con much@s otr@s bailaor@s, como Andrés Marín, Manuela Rios, Farruquito, Ana Morales, Rocio Molina, Juan Paredes, María Moreno, Irene la Sentío, quienes son reconocidos como la élite del género.
Ha actuado en muchos escenarios y festivales internacionales en España, Grecia, Malta, Suiza, Alemania, Italia y los Países Bajos.
Desde septiembre de 2019 vive en Róterdam, dando clases y actuando dentro y fuera de los Países Bajos. La ciudad portuaria está siendo una nueva gran inspiración para Claudia, por su carácter multicultural y su gran variedad de artistas internacionales...

“La clase comenzará con un calentamiento, con ejercicios de movimiento corporal, ejercicios de pies y compás.
Se enseñarán pequeñas secuencias de bulerías y tangos para ser bailados con las letras correspondientes. Veremos cómo y cuándo poner un remate, un marcaje o una llamada mientras se baila la letra.
El objetivo de esta clase no es solo aprender una secuencia de pasos, sino aprender a usar esos pasos y jugar con ellos según el cante y poder disfrutar más de nuestro baile! "

¡Vamos! Flamenco Camp Crete 24-30/7/2022GR: Ο Βάμος ιδρύθηκε από Άραβες πειρατές που εκδιώχθηκαν από την Ισπανία τον 8ο αιώνα.
Η ιδέα να φιλοξενήσουμε ένα τέτοιου τύπου Camp στον Βάμο Χανίων, έρχεται από τη βαθιά επαφή του χωριού, των ανθρώπων του, της κουζίνας του και της ιστορίας του, με αυτή της flamenco κουλτούρας .
Πιο συγκεκριμένα, η επίδραση της Αραβικής κληρονομιάς στη flamenco κουλτούρα είναι ακόμα τόσο ζωντανή που μπορεί κανείς να την αντιληφθεί στις μουσικές παραδόσεις της τέχνης του flamenco.
Γι αυτό σκεφτήκαμε ότι δε θα μπορούσε να υπάρξει καλύτερο έδαφος από τον Βάμο για να στήσουμε αυτό το Camp: πρόκειται για μια ζεστή και θεραπευτική εμπειρία, που θα επιτρέψει στους δασκάλους να μοιραστούν τις γνώσεις τους με το κοινό και δίνοντας έτσι την ευκαιρία να ζήσουμε όλοι μια εβδομάδα χαράς σε έναν πανέμορφο τόπο.
Το σχέδιό μας περιλαμβάνει ντόπιους αλλά και Ισπανούς καλλιτέχνες που θα μας παρουσιάσουν τη δουλειά τους μέσα από παραστάσεις και εργαστήρια.
Σας καλωσορίζουμε όλους και σας καλούμε να γίνετε μέρος αυτής της νέας Flamenco εμπειρίας.

EN: Vamos was founded by Arab pirates who were expelled from Spain in the 8th century.
The idea to host a Flamenco Camp in Vamos comes from the deep connection with the village, its people, its food and history with the flamenco culture. In particular, the interaction between the Arab legacy and the flamenco culture is still vivid, and you may still perceive such heritage in their musical traditions. This is why we thought of Vamos and its community as the ideal cradle for this event: it would be an extremely humbling and healing experience, to be able to share knowledge and passion for the Flamenco mesmerising culture, providing the audience with a moment of beauty and joy to share altogether. The plan is to set up both flamenco performances and workshops for the locals to engage with, and these performances and workshops will be given by Spanish and local Greek artists.
We are welcoming everyone to take part in this Flamenco movement!

La idea de organizar un Flamenco Camp en Vamos surge de la profunda conexión con el pueblo, su gente, su comida e historia con la cultura flamenca. En particular, la interacción entre el legado árabe y la cultura flamenca sigue siendo viva, y es posible que todavía se perciba tal herencia en sus tradiciones musicales. Es por eso que pensamos en Vamos y su comunidad como la cuna ideal para este evento: sería una experiencia tremendamente humilde y sanadora, poder compartir conocimiento y pasión por la fascinante cultura flamenca, brindando al público un momento de belleza. y alegría para compartir por completo. El plan es organizar espectáculos y talleres de flamenco para que los lugareños se involucren, y estos espectáculos y talleres serán impartidos por artistas griegos locales y españoles.
