Objectives:Discover the basics of popular pain theoriesLearn how to prepare mentally and physically to work with chronic pain/illness clientsDevelop basic chronic pain/illness focused CBT skills, mediation and mindfulness techniquesLearn, analyze and practice important coping skills for those those with chronic pain/illnessDiscuss relevant pain related mental health diagnosesAbout the Speaker:Jennifer Sutton opened her practice, Chronic Hope Counseling, in 2019. Her practice focuses solely on working with clients in the chronic pain and illness community. In addition to serving this community Jennifer has chronic pain herself giving her a unique perspective in her work

Jennifer earned her B.A in criminal justice, B.S in psychology and minor in cognitive science from UNC Charlotte and her M.ed in counseling from NC State. She is currently a LCMHCA and NCC. Jennifer&#x27;s passion for serving the chronic pain and illness community also lead her to found her non-profit, Chronic Hope Cares, in 2021
