Description

Join us for an evening of fun with life-long friends. The Saturday Celebration Dinner will include dinner from Mama Stortini's Restaurant, a cash bar, dancing, karaoke, lots of laughs and a walk down memory lane. This evening just became one you absolutely don't want to miss!

UPDATE 7/25/19 - We are adding to the fun!! We've decided to go all out and invited our very own, stand-up comedian, Brett Hollis to perform for us and Dan Deese has volunteered to DJ and host a little karaoke!

UPDATE 8/13/19 - We are so excited to announce a casual get-together for the Class of '89 AND all other classes at Purdy's Public House on Friday, August 23rd, starting at 7 pm. More details below.


We are looking for you!! We are trying to reach a goal of 150 classmates at our reunion. Tickets being sold on Eventbrite cover the cost for the Celebration Dinner on Saturday night only. We want to offer multiple opportunities for everyone to be together, but our main focus is on the Dinner Celebration.

Who is invited to the Dinner Celebration?

The class of 1989, along with their guests (anyone 18 years and up, please!). SHS teachers are also invited and have a discounted ticket price.

What is the dress code for our Dinner Celebration?

Whatever you are most comfortable wearing.

What's the refund policy for the Dinner Celebration?

If you cancel by August 16, 2019 (8 days prior to the event), you will receive a refund via check by mail, less the processing fees already collected by Eventbrite. You will not receive the Eventbrite processing fees because they deduct them immediately upon purchase. If you cancel on August 17th or after, you willl not receive a refund. This is because our cut-off day with the caterer is 7 days prior to the event and we will have already paid for your meal. Please contact either Crystel or Jerri with your cancellation request. Refunds will be sent within 3 weeks after the event.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to The Attic?

No. We will have a list at the door.

Is my ticket transferrable to the Dinner Celebration?

Yes, you can transfer your ticket to another classmate, a guest of a classmate or an SHS teacher.

Can I purchase tickets to the Dinner Celebration at the door?

Yes, but we prefer you purchase at least 2 days ahead of the event, so we can be sure that we'll have enough food to serve everyone. We cannot guarantee dinner will be available if you purchase at the door.

What does the price of my ticket cover?

We want to be very transparent with the money we are collecting for the Celebration Dinner. We decided not to use an Event Company for this reunion (as we have done for the previous two), but instead plan everything ourselves to keep the costs as low as possible.

Autumn Bennett Gildon is graciously offering us the use of The Attic at her cost, which is $500. If we have 100 people attend this event, $5 of each ticket sold will go towards covering this cost. Mama Stortini is charging $25 per person for dinner, a bartender and the liquor license/insurance. We owe the caterer a $500 deposit by June 24th, which is why we are offering an early bird ticket option, so classmates will consider buying their tickets before this deadline.

For us to use Eventbrite, we have to pay processing fees and taxes, which for an early bird ticket is $4.52 and for a standard ticket is $4.85. For an early bird ticket, we will collect an additional $2.48 for incidentals, and for a standard ticket, we'll collect an additional $7.15. Buying an early bird ticket saves you 13.5%, per ticket.

Part of the incidental budget will go towards offering complimentary tickets the family of those classmates we have lost, plus 1 guest. We do not anticipate additional costs beyond basic incidentals (printing badges, decor or basic supplies, etc.), so if we end-up having extra funds, we could possibly use them for drink coupons or donate them to SHS for a scholarship or to a local charity on behalf of the class of '89. We will be sure to let everyone know how we are using our funds as the event draws closer.
