Description

Do you know what your Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS) pension benefit will be at retirement?

Learn how to calculate your WRS benefit with this 30-minute crash course.

The calculation will help you understand your WRS retirement benefit as a portion of your overall retirement income. Even if you are years away from retirement, you’ll want to attend this session to get a better idea of how the WRS benefit fits into your retirement strategy. Bring a laptop or tablet and your most recent ETF statement so you will have the data to enter for your own benefit projection.

Ana Bonjour, Worksite Benefit Consultant, and Steve Pike, Member Benefit Consultant (and MTI member), from WEA Member Benefits will walk you through a calculation example and answer questions you may have on:

  • How to run the calculation for yourself
  • Benefit payout options available to you in retirement
  • How benefits are paid
  • The various sources of retirement income available to you as a Wisconsin public school employee, and more.

*The benefit calculation is just an estimate and is not an official WRS estimate. Contact the Wisconsin Department of Employee Trust funds for an official estimate if you are considering retirement within a year.

Seminars are free to attend; however, if you choose to invest in the WEA Tax Sheltered Annuity or WEAC IRA program, fees will apply. Consider all expenses before investing. The 403(b) retirement program is offered by the WEA TSA Trust. TSA program registered representatives are licensed through WEA Investment Services, Inc., member FINRA. The Trustee Custodian for the WEAC IRA accounts is Newport Trust Company.
