3 Class Spring Series- Creating your Organic Vegetable Garden

The sessions are held every two weeks on Saturdays from 12:00 -1:30 p.m. (4/24, 5/8, 5/22)
Whether you’re looking to enjoy boxes of lettuces & herbs on your balcony, harvest heirloom tomatoes at peak season, or pickle cucumbers you grew in your backyard, this series will give you the confidence to enjoy tending to your own garden
They will focus on fundamental skills that you will put into action within your own garden.
Classes will be held “live” from Adam’s personal gardens in Woodstock, NY via Zoom.
Areas of Focus will include:
Why Organic?
What do I want to grow versus what CAN I grow
Review of cold and warm weather plants, growing cycles, and proper spacing techniques
Creating your balcony or garden floor plan: where to locate and how to size appropriately
How to prepare your garden soil: quick fixes and long-term strategies
Mulching, weeding and watering techniques
Pollination and the flowering process
Identification of various plant diseases and garden pests and how you can manage them through organic methods
"Companion Planting", "Succession Planting", and how they improve the quantity and quality of your produce
How to make pickles!
The series will include handouts, live demonstrations from the garden, and Q&A.
The cost for the full 3 session course is $55.00 per person.
Of course one-on-one consultations are also available for those of you who would like additional attention, as well as customized group classes tailored to your specific needs.
