Description

On Monday, March 11th, UConn Early College Experience and the UConn English department invite all certified UConn ECE English instructors to attend the annual professional development workshop.

Please park in the North or South parking garage and bring your ticket from either garage for a validation stamp. Registration starts at 8:30am with the workshop commencing at 9am in the Student Union ballroom. For a map please see: www.maps.uconn.edu.


Please have your UConn NetID and password while on campus if you wish to access the wi-fi network.

9:30-11:15 - Small group breakout sessions will be based on a major conecpt in writing studies from the book *Naming What We Know:Threshold Concepts in Writing Studies, eds. Linda Adler-Kassner and Elizabeth Wardle (select one):

  • Writing is Social and Rhetorical (Led by Réme Bohlin and Sarah King)

  • Writing Takes Recognizable Forms (Led by Scott Campbell and Caitlin Donahue)

  • Writing Enacts Identities (Led by Alex Gatten, Lalitha Kastirurangan, Amanda Palmer)
