We are pleased to announce that the 2nd UK Information Literacy & Summon Day will be held at Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) on 25th July 2013.
Whether you’re about to implement Summon®, have just done so, or are an old hand at this sort of thing, you’ll have thought about how using web-scale discovery impacts on your information literacy teaching. Have you hardly changed your approach or have you had a radical rethink?
We would like to take this opportunity to put a call out for speakers. If you want to talk to attendees about your thoughts and experiences regarding Summon® and information literacy then we’d love to hear from you. We are also looking for people to share their expertise by actually teaching attendees information skills using Summon (i.e. treating attendees as you would your library users) as part of a series of lightning sessions.
MMU has great road and rail transport links plus it is within easy travelling distance of Manchester Airport - we’d warmly welcome librarians from Ireland and Europe to attend!
You can keep up to date with this event by checking summonil2013.wordpress.com/ and by using the Twitter hashtag #SummonIL
