2nd East Africa Education Conference 2017,
Thu, 6 Apr 2017, 09:00 – Fri, 7 Apr 2017, 12:00 EAT
This theme for the 2nd East Africa Education Conference 2017, scheduled for the 6th -7th April 2017 in Nairobi Kenya couldn't be timelier. Though major progress has been made towards increasing literacy and access to education in the region especially among girls and women, more bold strides are necessary as we accelerate towards providing a competitive universal education that will match our need as a society, more so as the geographical boundaries become more blurred and market needs change.
The education system must now go beyond increasing enrollment rates into schools and colleges and consider the enrollment levels into “society including the bigger global society. This can certainly be complex and the East Africa Education Conference provides the space to address each of the complexities.
This is an event for all regional educators, policy makers and all who are care about the education strategies in the region and how it will impact the society- Private sector too.
