A Free Community Event Focused On Personal Emergency Preparedness, Long Term Services and Support and the California Master Plan on Aging!

Check-in, Breakfast and Resource Fair 8:00 - 9:00 am

Program and Resource Fair: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm - LUNCH INCLUDED!

Our program begins at 9:00 am with Keynote Speaker: L.Vance Taylor, Chief, Office of Access and Functional Needs, California Governor's Office of Emergency Services.

Topics throughout the morning and early afternoon include the PG&E Response to Emergency Situations in our Counties, Public Transportation Options in Yuba and Sutter Counties, Universal Design Options, Eating Well on a Budget - including an overview of the new Cal Fresh benefits, Elder Abuse - Scams and Frauds, and Advanced Health Planning. At mid-day there will be a panel of local elected officials discussing aspects of the Governor's Master Plan on Aging and how it will potentially benefit people with disabilities and older adults. We will end the day with our afternoon Keynote Speaker: Ana Acton, Executive Director of FREED, talking about Personal Emergency Preparedness.

Along the way, we will serve lunch, you will have access to vendors at the Resource Fair and, at the end of the day, our drawing for great door prizes!

ASL and Spanish-Language Interpreters will be provided.
