Event description
The 2019 2nd Annual Nutrition Symposium, brought to you by the University of New England, will highlight Maine's unique food systems.

About this Event

Participants and guests will explore the varied components of the ocean food systems and the future those systems may bring, how aquaponics will serve as a solution for food sustainability, and learn the challenges of planning healthy and nutritious meals through locally grown commodities.

View the day's schedule of presentations and topics.

Our distinguished presenters, hosts, and panelists will gather from across different industries to help illustrate the connectedness amongst the different food systems present in Maine. We will be joined by professors from UNE's undergraduate nutrition program, students of UNE's College of Osteopathic Medicine, and regional experts in nutrition to share their experience and thoughts.

This event will provide a light breakfast following check-in. And will include an interactive tour of the Living Wall- a wall housing more than 960 living plants- located inside Danielle Ripich Commons.

For those unable to attend in person, we will be offering a Live Stream option to participate and view presentations. The link to live stream the symposium will be sent as we near the event date.
