Event description

Description

St. Augustine College's Social Work Department is excited to announce our 2nd Annual Trauma & Immigration Conference hosted at our Main Campus in Charlie Chaplin Auditorium (1345 W. Argyle Street).

In our current sociopolitical moment there is increased stress and trauma at an individual, family and community level for immigrants in the United States. As a college that supports and serves a dominantly immigrant student body and surrounding immgrant communities with Latinx students coming from across Central and South America we believe it is important to have community space where we can share, learn, heal and connect.

We are excited to welcome activists, artists, healers, academics, and beyond to come together for this conference centering on both the immigrant experience in this moment as well as the related trauma and necessary healing responses.
