About this event
Come meet and celebrate the next generation of sustainability innovators and advocates at the 2nd Annual San Antonio Mayor’s Youth Engagement Council for Climate Initiatives Showcase, in person, at Confluence Park!
The Mayor’s Youth Engagement Council for Climate Initiatives provides a way for youth to actively engage in the civic process and invest in the future of their city as part of the City of San Antonio’s Climate Action & Adaptation Plan (CAAP). The mission of the Council is to empower San Antonio’s next generation of climate champions with the tools they need to become effective advocates in their community.
Join us on May 17th from 5:30 to 7 pm to learn from high school youth from across San Antonio as they present their Community Impact Projects and key recommendations for addressing community needs through the CAAP.
Thank you to the City of San Antonio for their partnership in connecting youth to their civic leaders and to the Holloman Price Foundation for making this Council initiative possible.
How do I get to Confluence Park? Carpooling, rideshares, and public transportation are strongly encouraged! You can find the best public transit route on https://www.viainfo.net/. Parking is limited, so please keep this in mind and plan ahead.
Please RSVP and share the event far and wide!
P.S. Are you a parent or teacher? Student set-up begins at 4:30p.
