A FREE trail run, an Irish pub and a GREAT MOVIE - Beer Runners
Join us for our 2nd annual free community trail run through Lancaster County Park, and a wildly fun gathering at downtown Lancaster's favorite Irish pub for the area's ONLY showing of the award-winning movie Beer Runners.
“BEER RUNNERS” is the best film I’ve ever seen about running, and I’ve seen them all. I had no idea that the coolest running club in America was created from heartache and grew into an emotional, inspiring, hilariously-fun gang of misfits that has saved literally lives and inspired scientific research. Bring a hanky and a beer, because you’ll want to wipetears and raise a toast “To the Professor!” — Christopher Mcdougall, author of Born To Run & Natural Born Heroes
12p - Meet at Lancaster County Park for a trail run with Born to Run author Christopher McDougall. Three distances with guides available - 3mi, 5 mi or 7 mi - along gorgeous woodland trails.
2p - Doors open at Tellus360 (a 5-minute drive from the trail). Pre-event features music by Ukulele Uprising!, hip-rocking Hawaiian dancing, running prizes, craft beers and excellent bar food for purchase. Movies will be available for cash purchase.
3p - Beer Runners movie begins
