Keynotes
Annette Downey is frequently an invited speaker at national conference on topics including Person-Centered Planning, Self-Determination, Income Generation for ALL, and Community-Focused service provision. Annette is a tireless advocate for systems change aimed at promoting people with disabilities’ right to choose their own life paths and to control who, what, when, where, and how their supports are provided.

Emily Gebhart and Christy Stegman, Didlake, Inc. provide supported employment services to 1500+ persons a day in Northern Virginia, all at integrated sites, at or above minimum wage. Using accommodations/AT; positive behavior supports; benefits counseling; strong relationships with families, funders, and employers; and a whole lot of hard work—they show the incredible positive impact that supported employment has the lives of persons with IDD.
