Event description

Description

This year's conference will provide opportunity to learn, network, and be inspired to improve the health of those living with HIV and those who are at most risk for Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), Hepatitis C (HCV) and other Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs). This will be a reminder that systems and policies that perpetuate social injustice and contribute to health inequalities are alive and well in our border communities. These disparities lead to the new HIV infections and barriers to access care. The goal is to further understand that HIV/AIDS, HCV, and other STIs are not merely a health issue, but often a result of poverty, racism, homophobia, stigma, and social isolation due to mental health and substance use. Our hope is that this year's conference energizes you and leads you back home with a renewed commitment to your ability in ending the HIV, HCV, and STI epidemic.
