Description

Join us for our second annual Mason Night Market, George Mason University's kickoff celebration to Asian Pacific American Heritage Month (APAHM). We will have a night filled with Asian, Pacific Islander, and Desi American inspired food, music, performances, games, trivia, giveaways, and so much more!

In partnership with the Asian Pacific American Coalition, the APAHM Planning committee, and the Office of Diversity, Inclusion, and Multicultural Education + LGBTQ Resources, we are excited to bring this special event back to Mason for a second year.

CHECK IN: This is an open, family friendly event, and guests will arrive throughout the evening starting at 6pm. Our team will have a check in table where attendees will receive an event map and learn more about what the event has in store.

COST: This event is FREE! There will be free samples, free games, and free giveaways, however there are also opportunities to buy food and drinks. Some cash/money would be helpful to have based on interest in additional purchases.

PARKING: Guest and visitor parking is located in the Rappahannock Parking Deck at a cost of $3 per hour with a $15 all day pass.

ABOUT APAHM: At George Mason University, we begin the celebration of APAHM in April each year in order to share a month of programs with the campus. Traditionally celebrated in May, APAHM is an opportunity to recognize the history, tradition, presence, and contributions of the Asian American community in the U.S. Coming soon: Our 2019 calendar of events at https://odime.gmu.edu/APIDA/.

For more information, please contact the Office of Diversity, Inclusion, and Multicultural Education via email at odime@gmu.edu or by phone (703) 993-2700.
