The History Fair is modeled after the framework of the National History Day Competition. Several students will move on from this fair to the city-wide competition. The entries will include documentaries, websites, physical displays and process papers. The theme of the contest is Taking a Stand in History. Judging will occur from 1:30-4:30pm and the fair will be open to parents and students from 6:00-8:00 to tour the exhibits and speak with students and teachers. Winners of each category will be announced on Friday, January 20th at a Morning Assembly.
Projects will be on display based on the category.
Students, parents, and guests will enter through the main entrance of the North building at 6pm. The judging is closed to the public except for competing students.
The History Fair is proudly sponsored by the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History
