Welcome to the 2nd Annual Greater Baltimore APIC Education Seminar.

November 5, 2019, 9:00am - 3:00pm


The Greater Baltimore Chapter of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control presents their 2nd Annual Education Fair. The fair boasts vendors, networking and educational sessions by Lieutenant Nakia Clemmons from CDC Division of Viral Diseases on the Measles, Mumps Rubella, Herpes and Polio and JJ. McQueen,owner of Goal Line Media Productions, LLC, providing tools to assist his clients in connecting, engaging and communicating with various audiences more efficiently and effectively. The fair will be held at Baum Auditorium at Harbor Hospital on November 5, 2019. The event will be held from 9am-3pm. A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided for participants and vendors. We look forward to seeing you there!

Opening Speaker - Lieutenant Nakia Clemmons

Lieutenant Nakia Clemmons is an environmental health officer in the US Public Health Service Commissioned Corps and an epidemiologist in the Division of Viral Diseases on the Measles, Mumps Rubella, Herpes and Polio team at the CDC. Previously, Nakia worked at the US Army Public Health Command's Disease Epidemiology Program on a variety of communicable disease topics and managed the Army's Acute Respiratory Disease Surveillance program. She received a master of public health degree in environmental and occupation health sciences at the University of Illinois-Chicago and a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

SPEAKER 2: JJ McQueen

JJ McQueen is the owner of Goal Line Media Productions, LLC. JJ provides tools to assist his clients in connecting, engaging and communicating with various audiences more efficiently and effectively. His unique skill set includes the use of visual story telling which aids his clients in turning complex ideas and topics into simpler, easy to understand concepts. He has partnered with clients from various fields including government, education, private corporations and healthcare. His motto “Vision Beyond the Lens” represents his philosophy that there’s always a deeper meaning and we all have the ability to connect even when on opposite sides of the coin.  JJ earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism from East Carolina University. He holds many awards and civic citations related to his work and community service.

Greater Baltimore APIC Chapter

APIC Greater Baltimore Chapter is a community leader in infection control, prevention and epidemiology through public policy efforts, education and support of the evidence-based practices and collaboration with State and local entities to reduce hospital acquired infections. The Chapter represents over 135 members from various institutions of healthcare in the  Baltimore, Maryland area, providing a diverse and comprehensive representation from Acute Care, Long Term Care, Sub-Acute Rehab, County and State Health Departments and other emergency agencies.
