Dear Black History Is 365 Community:

Thank you for your support! In an effort to promote black history 365 days a year, this 2nd Annual Black History Is 365: Always Forward festival is a festival focused on educating our people of our rich history. This will be an all-inclusive event with a Live DJ presenters, vendors and fun for the entire family to enjoy.

Black History Is 365 requests your presence as one of our participants. Last year, our Black History Is 365 event included a movie screening of Out of Darkness, spoken word poetry by Malik Anhk Neter, face painting for children and live performances by the Universal drum and dance ensemble. Also activist and powerful organizer, Ramona Africa of MOVE gave the keynote address at this engagement. Ramona Africa has a strong ability to unite and empower our people under one accord. We also encouraged community to visit and patronize our African Market Place which was situated at the event.
This year, we would love for you to join us! We would like for your entire family to attend this historic event. This year we will have international guest youth speaker King Nahh in attendance. At our Nat Turner symposium, you will enjoy a panel discussion led by two gentlemen, one an author of a book about the life of Nat Turner and the other wrote a play about the life of Nat Turner. Excerpts from the play Life of Nat Turner Unspoken Heroes will also be performed. We will have workshops concerning relationships, benefits of a midwife/natural child birth, agriculture , natural homeopathic remedies , black holocaust museum of slavery and real estate. We will have live, raw and cooked foods/beverages. The entire family will have an opportunity to visit and support /patronize our African Market Place! Children will be able to enjoy our children corner which includes our experienced face painters! The event will take place on Sunday, March 26th from 12pm until 8pm at the Church of the Advocate located at 1801 W. Diamond St, Philadelphia, PA 19121.
