The FRONT PORCH is a performance group of players of mostly acoustic stringed instruments. Guitars,banjos, mandolins and a few fiddles along with a washtub bass and occasionally spoons and a washboard are part of the group. Some real toe-tapping entertainment for the whole family!
7:30 PM - 9:30 PM Stay for the evening of entertainment by Jodell, a Nashville recording artist, singing tunes from country, blues and southern rock. She has headlined the Florida State Fair and Manatee County Festival to name a few, and played at Hard Rock Cafe, Rick on the River, Reflections and others.
A Special Event is the dedication of the renovated Giant’s Fishing Cabin 5 at 4:30 PM. (Cabin 4,dedicated last year at Beef n' Bones, is now open as an educational cabin.)
Camp Bayou Outdoor Learning Center is a 160 acre nature preserve located in the middle of the Little Manatee River system and proximate to the Cockroach Bay Aquatic Preserve and Tampa Bay. Our mission is to preserve a sample of Florida’s original habitats, and to use this Center for the purpose of promoting appreciation and understanding of our natural resources and of our local culture and history through environmental education and a hands on learning center.
